Who are we and what do we make?
Streetscene Models is a small business which specialises in hand made buildings for your O gauge layout.
Prices reflect the quality of each product and the overall build time. Attention to detail ensures that these products will enhance any layout for many years to come, giving it a bespoke, quality feel by using buildings that are not mass produced.
There is no set format; you can request any changes you wish to any of the freelance buildings in the store.
I also build models of prototype structures that are still in existence or are just memories.

Construction Methods
All my models including my shop window displays are hand made. I strive to build a quality product that will stand the test of time. To that end, plastikard both plain and embossed, is used for the main structure.
One advantage plastic has over card is that it leads to a strong, warp resistant model. Further strength is gained from the addition of internal bracing where required.
Further detail is included, such as window frames, guttering and chimneys. Once again, these are all scratch built. Finally, each model is glazed, painted and weathered using a combination of techniques and weathering powders.
